Flames erupted at Andalusia Bar and Grill at 971 Bristol Pike in Grandview Plaza around 4 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, Bensalem Township Fire Battalion Chief Robert Sponheimer said.

Responders were met by heavy flames in the back of the building, bringing approximately 70 firefighters to the scene, Sponheimer said.

The two-alarm blaze was under control by 5 a.m., but completely destroyed the Andalusia Bar & Grill, along with the 8 or 10 other businesses in the shopping center, the chief said.

The cause remains under investigation, said Sponheimer, noting Andalusia has been around for at least 20 years, and that the exterior of the entire shopping center had work done recently.

Fire companies from Croydon, Penndel, and Feasterville assisted with controlling the blaze, officials added.

No injuries were reported, police said. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Customers and nearby businesses expressed both sadness and support on Facebook.
